Giddyup Daddy

Bridget is now old enough to ride a horsey (and hang on) or do piggyback rides. We've all enjoyed romping around the house doing rides. Here's Cowgirl Bridget on her trusty steed Daddy.

Bridget definitely seems to be taking after her Pops with her drumming prowess. She was really into it for multiple songs too.

Bridget and Puppy Sophie

Bridget's Pops and Nonna got a new puppy named Sophie, a bijon-poo. Bridget normally prefers to look and not touch but Sophie is so little and cute that Bridget had fun playing with her during our last visit.




My favorite part of this second video is when Bridget looks like she's grimacing and unhappy but then she says, "Oh, he's licking me!" in a cute happy voice. My preggo belly also makes a cameo at the end.

Bridget Feeding a Goat

We finally uploaded some videos off the camera so I'm going to schedule some posts showing the cutest ones. This video is from September when we visited the farm (pictures are way back when). Bridget liked feeding the goats.

Apple Picking... Part Deux

These pictures are from back in September when we caught what was possibly the last apple picking weekend available. We went picking with our friends Melissa and Erik and got some great photos.

We also explored a hiking trail and old quarry across from the farm. I wish I had some photos from that piece of the trip too. It was pretty cool.

Mmmm... Brownie Mix

It's no secret that we have a picky eater on our hands but she's never met a dessert (especially chocolate flavored) that she didn't like. Here's Bridget enjoying some brownie mix. Nom, nom.

Cuteness Personified

We were unfortunately on our way to a Wake but Bridget looked so adorable in this outfit that we had to snap a picture. The dress underneath has a matching skirt with a black velvet top and a rhinestone heart belt. She really loved the heart and looked so cute walking around all dressed up.

Bridget Playing in the Leaves

These pictures were all taken from our deck with a telephoto lens. We were testing the quality of the pictures and got some great action shots of Bridget!

This picture helps show the scope of all the leaves we had in the backyard. Ken turned on the leafblower and shot some leaves at Bridget.

In between laughing, I believe she was saying, "Stop it Daddy!"

Halloween Pictures

Here are our Halloween costume pictures:

I promised Kathleen I would post a preggo Halloween costume picture since I look pretty ridiculous. Bridget loved my costume. She would wear the headpiece around and every day she would ask me if I wanted to wear my bee costume.

Sadly, we can't say the same about her loving her own costume. She is into the "Snow White" movie now and loved looking at the Snow White dress in the bag and even out of the bag but did NOT want to wear it. The entire time she had it on, she was saying, "I don't like it", "I don't want it" and crying a little bit. We tried our best to get some pictures (at least Ken is smiling :)).

Here, in Bridget's words, "Bridget is sad". This is when we had first put her costume on. Well next year she can be a bee!

Visiting the Farm

She and Joey didn't realize they'd have to hold down the gas pedal to move. Their dads ended up pushing them around the track the whole time.

Apple Picking

I love this picture of Bridget and I. I have been forced to wear a maternity coat even though it's still a little too big for me. My own coats don't quite zip up anymore though.

Truck Day

We went to Truck Day on the Common and Bridget enjoyed checking out all the different vehicles, games, and treats.

Look how strong Ken is!

This was Bridget's absolute favorite vehicle - the bus. She didn't care if she was driving or sitting on it but she didn't want to get off.

Zoo Trip

The carousel was Bridget's absolute favorite part of the zoo. She loved that she was sitting "by herself" and the gentle up and down ride.

The zoo had a really neat section where you could feed the little birds and they would land on you and let you hold them. Bridget kept saying, "Come here birdie!", "Eat your supper birdie!"

I just love this picture. She had fun on the little playground area at the zoo.

Bridget adores monkeys and she was interested in these gorillas. This one was the mean Daddy one and I think she was a little wary but curious nonetheless.

Patriots and Playground Fun

We had some friends over for the first Patriots game. Bridget's naptime worked out perfectly so that Ken and I actually got to watch the first half of the game. We also visited the playground after the game ended.

Speaking of the Dads... here's everyone decked out in their Patriots gear. I guess we need to get something for Bridget to show her colors too. :)

New Baby's Heartbeat

Auntie Kathleen came with me to my prenatal appointment so we decided to take some audio/video of the baby's heartbeat. I love it! Since the heartbeat stays around 130 bpm, the old wives' tale would predict a boy. (<140>140 = girl)

Ken Finds Out We Are Having a New Baby

It's positive! We are having a baby!

How I told Ken. I left this note on Bridget's outfit for the day. When he went to get her dressed, I hid in the other room and caught his reaction on camera.

Ken reads and tries to comprehend the note. It is first thing in the morning plus the shock.

He's happy! Yay! We can't wait to meet Baby #2!

Bridget Napping

She hasn't napped somewhere other than a crib or pack and play since she was 6 months old! But since I was in my first trimester of being pregnant and totally exhausted too, we both sat down on the couch to watch a Dora show and then we fell asleep! When I woke up, she was on my lap and it was too precious of a moment to move her. Later she shifted on her own so I covered her up, took some pictures, and then watched her like a hawk to make sure she wouldn't fall off the couch. We both got a good nap that day though.

This last one shows just how much Bridget loves her monkey and her blue crocs. She hates to sleep without either one! She has three stuffed monkeys - Baby Monkey, Mommy Baby Monkey (pictured), and Daddy Baby Monkey. She named them. :)
