Nonna Will Be So Proud

Ken found a frog while mowing the lawn so he brought him in for Bridget to investigate. She was completely indifferent to having the frog on top of her head and continued to eat her lunch without missing a beat. (As you can see in the top picture, she is feeding herself yogurt! This was the first time she was able to scoop and put the spoon in her mouth successfully. She fed herself half the container.)

Since she was so nonchalant about having the frog on her head, Ken put it on her hand. She finally paid it attention but as soon as she touched it, the frog hopped away.

First Mother's Day

My first mother's day with Bridget! Bridget gave us her first present by sleeping until 8am! Above is the rose from my mom and the picture collage that Bridget's daycare made for me. They got such great pictures of Bridgey!

This is the beautiful purple plant that Ken got me for mother's day. This is a new annual tradition since he got me one for my mom-to-be day last year. He knows that I love to look out at my flowers and the birds.

We visited Bridget's Great-Nana Boermeester in the morning. It was their first meeting so we got a generations picture with Bridget, Ken, Ken's mom, and Great-Nana.
And since I can't help the cuteness, I've got a picture of Bridget waiting for her lunch. She does so great with her puffs. Now that she has mastered eating them, she'll eat a few at a time.
I also got cards from my friend Stephanie and my dad and some nice texts/facebook posts from friends too. :) It was a wonderful day! Ken changed all the diapers and I got to relax with a book for a little while. We also got to see most of our families which was really fun. Ken, Bridget, and I all took a nap in Ken's parents backyard hammock outside enjoying the beautiful weather.
