Happy Birthday Daddy!

Here's Daddy sneaking a piece of his birthday cupcake tower before he'd even blown out his candles!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bridget and Daddy singing "Happy Birthday"! She loves opening cards (and books) so she was having fun with Daddy's birthday cards too. I love this picture. They both look so cute! :)

Nine Months

My little Bridget is 9 months already! Where did the time go? It sure seemed like I was a pregnant a lot longer than it took her to grow up to be 9 months.

We had her 9 month well baby check-up on Thursday the 28th. Bridget is doing very well and hitting all her milestones. (Newest trick: she can pull herself up to standing!!) Her official length was 27.5 inches; weight was 17 lbs. The length and head circumference were 50th percentile which is where she has been tracking so far. Her weight had dropped from the 50th to the 20th percentile though. Our pediatrician said she is not concerned since Bridget is looking healthy and it's most likely because she is so active now playing and crawling. Nonetheless, she wants us to add in a third solid meal without decreasing her milk intake. Next week Ken and I are on vacation so we'll try out a new feeding schedule.

Melissa Gets Married

My good friend and former BC roommate, Melissa, got married this past Saturday at the Liberty Hotel in Boston. It is a prison that was turned into a luxury hotel. So it was an apt place for Melissa to get her figurative ball and chain (yuk, yuk).

The roommates celebrating with the beautiful bride. Thank you Ginger for doing my hair and makeup. You are a lifesaver!

The happy couple and this picture shows Melissa's beautiful dress.

The cake! It looks so beautiful and it tasted delicious (mmm chocolate...)

Here is a snapshot of the inside of the hotel. The old brick and the bars on the windows work fabulously and the hotel is just gorgeous inside.

She Crawls!

And sits herself up from laying down and reaches for us now. In the last few weeks, she seems like a more grown-up baby. It is fun but where did the time go?

Her crawl is an "army" crawl where her belly is still on the ground and she pulls/pushes herself with her forearms and legs. But she moves in a forward direction and she prefers this method of travel over all the rolling she used to do so I think it's official. She does try to crawl traditionally but hasn't progressed beyond one or two steps yet.

It is very cute to see her sit herself up now. She just moves around checking things out, grabs toys, sits up and plays, gets back down again, and so on. She's very smooth and makes it look so easy now. She loves to swing doors and bang them against the wall. She finally figured out how to penetrate the pillow barrier Ken erected to protect his x-box in the cabinet. :)

Bridget has her 9 month doctor's appointment this afternoon. She will officially be 9 months tomorrow! It flew by!
